When doing my own spaces, most thought goes into the place where my guests will first enter. It is there in that place that sets the atmosphere for the rest of a visitor's experience. When I tour homes and this concept is done well, within another's own creative flare, I enjoy the opportunity to share.
The owner's of this space, Jefferson & Sierra Fisher of Beaumont, TX have put their own youthful spin on southern tradition with the guidance of Lana Manley. Just to set the stage, this home belonged To Jefferson's grandparents and a couple years ago, they got the chance to bring the estate back into the family. Since Jefferson has sweet memories spent here as a kid, it is quite a treat to share that same sweetness with their new son.
I appreciate when a home owner can take different pieces and push them together to create more than just a room, but an experience. I love that they pumped color and a splash of modern into the timeless tradition of the original home.
For me, it was love at first pink!
Now, lets keep it moving to another one of my favorite spots - the formal dining. Again, more color and playful textiles! I would also like to point out the lucite curtain rod and hardware. They are just one of many custom features in the room and were an Etsy find. I love when people do something fresh and new despite what the norm is! The window treatments are also one of a kind, and the fabric is a showstopper!
They have the best selection of watercolor fabrics!
If it wasn't already an amazing space, they added this very regal bar cart found at a local estate sale, complete with cocktail books that keep the colors going. I love all the attention to detail and the rich colors that inspire!
Lastly, I would like to share with you the nursery that belongs to the newest member of the Fisher family - Jett. This space is yet another display of creativity. It's the perfect measure of tradition and modern in complete balance! I don't think I mentioned this earlier, but Sierra & Jefferson lead successful careers in law.
I'll admit, I put them in a box. I was so surprised to know how artistic Jefferson is. Proud daddy hand painted this tree, among other pieces around their home! For weeks he worked on the tree that would hang over their son's crib. So sweet!
Sierra & Jefferson did such a beautiful job at updating the home, while showcasing the original features of the home with such appreciation! Also, a big thank you for sharing your space!!
That's all for this month's edition of Home Tours. If you have a home that inspires, and would love to share it, I would love to see more! Feel free to email me for more details.
